Moth Color
Challenge
· Farrow & Ball designed a campaign to introduce nine new colors with a theme of “change” using an analogy of cocoons evolving into moths.
· The goal was to create a unique in-store display using real paint-coated moth shapes.
· Four different shapes of moths were coated to match the new colors exactly.
· Farrow and Ball needed this material quickly to enable retailers to dress shops and window displays for the launch date.
Solution
· Farrow & Ball turned to Color Communications Europe (CCE) to meet this need.
· CCE worked with Farrow & Ball to ensure the desired shapes could be reproduced exactly.
· CCE produced over 79,000 moths coated with real paint on coated paper. The moths were die-cut, packed, and supplied on time.
Results
· CCE met the seven-week timeframe for the launch date on-time and on-budget
· Color accuracy, product quality, and fulfillment timelines met or exceeded expectations
